United Delivery Service, Ltd. History
United Delivery Service was started when we began servicing the data processing industry utilizing one vehicle. We slowly expanded by adding one customer at a time building a solid foundation servicing banks, payroll, data processing, and accounting firms. In the late 70's UDS was hired by the Kodak Corp. This was our first venture into Route Distribution, which enabled us to move from a small office front into our first office/warehouse facility in Rosemont, IL. As we expanded with other film companies we found that pharmaceutical deliveries were a perfect match to integrate with film.
From a team of two in 1972 we have grown to a force of over 500. With 9 hubs, UDS now serves the entire Midwest region of the US. We do virtually everything, from bicycle delivery of small packages to delivery of palletized products on tractor/trailers. Using state-of-the-art technology, every order is tracked from pickup to delivery. |
